“Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for. Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us.” – Maya Angelou

Okay, so maybe don't chill quite as much as our furry friend here, but there's definitely power in taking time to rest and recharge. We're in the heat of the summer months, and that means many people are taking well-deserved vacations (I certainly hope you get to enjoy some time off too!). But here's a thought: What do you think is the best move when everyone else is hitting the brakes? That's your cue to hit the gas!
This is the perfect time to meet your audience where they are. We've gathered some of those USA made and on-budget collections from our suppliers to ensure your brand stands out and connects effectively.
Dive in for our latest Supplier Spotlight, discover Summer Book Corner from our members, and grab some essential resources to get you going!
Cheers, Dana Geiger | Executive Director

Meet Lauren Allen Director of Sales, Cap America
Q: Are there any new product features or functionalities that you're seeing a rise in demand for?
A: In headwear, there has been a rise in demand for different decoration methods and placements. Believe it or not, there is a lot you can do with a hat in regard to decoration. Chain stitching (embroidery), offset placements, oversized decoration, and patches are in high demand.
Q: What industry publications or resources do you find most valuable?
A: Counselor Magazine (ASI) and PPAI's Sales Insights Reports.
Q: What are the biggest trends you're seeing in the industry right now?
A: "What's old is new again". We are seeing a lot of retro styles and fabrications trending in headwear: corduroy, foam truckers, rope caps. I tell people, whether you love it or hate it, this is what is selling.
Additionally, we are seeing 5-panel caps, laser perforated paneling, performance materials, and comfort/stretch sweatbands becoming more popular in headwear.
Q: What's a hidden talent or hobby you have that most people at work wouldn't know about?
A: I wish I had a hidden talent- I am going to work on that! For hobbies, I love to read, workout, and when I have the time, I love fishing with my dad.

Earlier this month, the PG Board of Directors gathered in Virginia Beach for an annual strategic retreat. It was a focused and energizing session—an opportunity to reflect on the progress we’ve made as an organization and identify areas of focus and forward-thinking priorities for the year ahead.
During the retreat, the newly elected Board listed below collaborated with outgoing Board members to evaluate organizational priorities.
We’re excited to share a few key highlights from our retreat with you:
