As we close out the Thanksgiving holiday, my cup is full after having my adult children home for four glorious days. While Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays for that reason, it also serves as a reminder that we don’t need a special occasion to pause and count our blessings.

There is real power in the practice of Finding Gratitude in the Everyday—the theme of our holiday lookbook. It unlocks joy in the small moments and encourages us to celebrate the little wins, even when they don’t feel like major breakthroughs.

This month’s newsletter reflects on both the present and the path ahead—how we can stay grounded in gratitude while also beginning to plan strategically for a strong year ahead and becoming the best versions of ourselves. At Premier Group, we’re always here to support you on that journey.

Remembering Rod Miller

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Rod Miller of Homer Miller and a valued distributor member of the Premier Group community since 2001. Rod, alongside his wife and business partner Deb, was deeply respected for his integrity, kindness, and long-standing commitment to our industry. He made a lasting impact not only through his work but through the relationships he built over many years.

Our thoughts and sincere condolences are with Deb, their family, and the entire Homer Miller team during this difficult time. Members who wish to read more about Rod’s life and legacy may view his obituary here.

Q: Are there any new product features or functionalities that you're seeing a rise in demand for?

A: I continue to see the demand for high perceived value and functional items. End users are being more selective about how they spend their promotional budgets and want items that are truly kept and used. It is not as focused on a specific feature but how we are showing them the value of the products. Showcasing what is trending, in terms of product selection AND design is the expectation. When customers work with our industry, they expect expertise.

Q: What's a hidden talent or hobby you have that most people at work wouldn't know about?

A: One of my passions is curating social content for LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok. I secretly love being on camera and *hopefully* lighten someone's day. Our goal is to make relevant sales content that is funny and relatable but also useful to drive revenue. From promo trends to real use cases and sales tips that actually work, we’re here to bring the strategy and the creativity. Give us a follow @salesgals to share in the fun!

Q:  What's one piece of advice you would give to someone starting their career in promotional products?

A: My best advice to anyone starting out in promo is to sell like you are selling to your best friend. Get excited about opportunities and lead with confidence. This industry is fueled by relationships, so lean into that. Utilize our network to build connections that will keep you motivated, ahead of trends, and grow your skills. When you know and love the products and features, you will find success as a trusted advisor to sell. Remember what is important to your customers and lean into the value to them over just pushing product for a quick sale. People want to work with people they like and trust!

Q: What industry publications or resources do you find most valuable?

A: There are so many incredible resources available to our industry. In addition to subscribing to as many newsletters as possible, I stay active on social media and LinkedIn to understand how industry leaders are sharing information. Our network is truly the greatest resource. I find a lot of inspiration from PromoPro Daily, most recently finding useful tips from an article entitled "8 Micro Habits To Boost Your Productivity And Happiness". Research articles fuel my strategic approach, specifically a recent PPAI article "PPAI Research: The 5-Second Impact" gave more insight into what customers find value in. This allows me to speak knowledgeably to partners to share findings and better curate product selection.

The PG Holiday Lookbook has proven to be a powerful tool for helping members spark conversations and drive meaningful business. This season, 13 members customized their own versions, and analytics show strong engagement and traction—demonstrating just how effective this type of curated, brand-forward resource can be in supporting sales efforts.

Looking ahead to 2026, Premier Group Network is planning two seasonal lookbooks and members will once again have the opportunity to customize them for their own outreach. These lookbooks are designed to be practical, polished sales tools—making it easier to tell your brand story, showcase products, and connect with clients in a meaningful way.
